Holidays and Scholarship news

I want to express my gratitude for those who have continued to send in your donations and those who visit this site to remember my sister.

Holidays are always the hardest time to have lost a loved one. Steph and I moved to different parts of New York state and did get to see each other quite a bit, but we didn’t get home to be with our family and friends as much as we would have liked. Our work/school/etc kept us away much more than we would have liked, but when we were home we were so happy to be there.

What I’m trying to say is, all of us that miss our loved ones should relish the times we do get to be together. I would give anything to have Stephanie here, and I want to say my heart is with my family and friends back home (and everywhere).

There is at least one event coming up early next year to benefit the scholarship. Details will be here as soon as everything is finalized.

Again, any help getting things rolling (officially) would be greatly appreciated.

Benefit Concert Posters Still Available

Thank you to everyone who’s kept those donations coming!

You know who you are, I know who you are and I want to take a moment to say my family appreciates your kindness with all our hearts.

That said, you can still get one of the amazing posters by artist Melinda Beck that were available at the Benefit Concert in Honor of Steph. These 24x18” 3 Color Silkscreened posters are hand-signed and numbered by the artist in a limited edition of 250.

Two years without Steph

Tomorrow (September 2nd 2008) marks the second anniversary of Stephanie’s passing.

I can say that there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t miss her. Today coming home from work, I wanted to call her. I remember calling her every day when she was sick, and being disappointed when I couldn’t reach her or the medications would limit our conversation. I’m trying my best to live for her, but I just wish she were here (for all of us).

Looking at this site and it’s goals, I’ve come up short. I’m not saying we’re not trying, but I wish that we were closer than we are to achieving them. The concert was a great success, and the donations that we’ve received are a positive step. I promise you that I will try even harder to make this happen, but I need help.

Take some time tomorrow to think about Stephanie, and share your thoughts with all of us. Most of all remember her.

A Thanks To All From Stephanie’s Parents

To all that worked so hard to put together the concert in memory of our daughter Stephanie. We wish to thank you so much for remembering her on what would have been her birthday.

We also appreciate getting a copy of the poster, which now resides in what was her bedroom in our house.

The bands were excellent, and the people who attended the concert that we got a chance to talk to were all so nice. We were able to talk to people who we have not seen for such a very long time and we really enjoyed that.

We hope that all of you find a vocation for which you have a great passion for like Stephanie had for medicine.
